Salad
Simple salad
A generous helping of vegetables, kept simple. The richness and sweetness of the soft-boiled egg bring the ingredients together.

01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Come for the yakitori, then explore the Okinawan dishes too. Ichizu centres its menu on chicken, but also serves island shallots, umi-budo (sea grapes) and Spam rice balls. Diners have singled out the chicken thigh skewers, bonjiri (chicken tail) and chicken tataki. It looks well suited both to a meal built around skewers and to a more varied spread with Okinawan small plates.
Visitors who tried the Okinawan dishes have mentioned island shallots, umi-budo, mozuku seaweed tempura and goya champuru. The menu also lists sōki soba and tempura-fried island shallots, offering a taste of Okinawa alongside the skewers.
Another dish that stands out is the chicken paitan ramen. One diner who often visits with family calls it a recommendation at the Suwa branch; another says they enjoyed the ramen on a second stop of the evening. It offers a chicken-led finish distinct from the sōki soba also listed on the menu.
Drinks include Orion beer and a yuzu-mitsu chu-hi with yuzu peel. There is room to pair a drink with the yakitori or settle in over Okinawan dishes, and the restaurant is also an option for a late meal.
